SYNOPSIS
It’s midnight the day before the big annual conference, Doug Nichols, a would-be missionary at Operation Mobilization sweeps the front steps when suddenly an oddly dressed man appears before him.
The man says he’s attending the conference, but who shows up in the middle of the night to a church conference?
Based on a true story and inspired by the truth that character comes before competence, “The Stranger” is an honest, light-hearted and meaningful picture of what it means to truly serve others.

Mixing PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023)
Hey, my name is J.R. Fountain. I’m an aspiring writer/director from Whitby, Ontario, but most people know me as the sound guy.
For 25 years I have worked as a sound designer for movies and tv shows. I’m the one adding all the sound effects, cars revving, buildings exploding, spaceships flying by, monsters roaring, you name it, that’s me.
So what the heck is a sound guy doing making a movie?
Well, since leaving film school, many, many years ago, I have long desired to make one of my own. And as a man of faith I have wanted it be an engaging and honest story to encourage others to a better way of living.
In the spring of 2024, it seemed providence was orchestrating the opportunity I’d been waiting for. I was staring at a script I’d written 6 years ago, a gaping six-month hole in my schedule, some savings in the bank, and most importantly, the conviction to finally get off my duff.
So I set a goal to be finished by Christmas and then stepped out in faith to wholeheartedly begin the pursuit.
At the end of January 2025 emerged…The Stranger.
